1.
Objectives:
(1)
Understand the features and species of important classes in the Phylum
Arthropod.
(2)
Master the harmfulness to human caused by arthropods and the manner by
which arthropods transmit diseases.
(3)
Master the relation between mosquitoes and man and the morphological
structures and habits
that relate to arthropod transmitting pathogens
in adult and larvae.
(4)
Understand the morphology, life cycle, ecology and prevention of
mosquito vectors.

Contents:
(1)
The features of Phylum Arthropod, Class Insecta , Class Arachnida, Class
Myriapoda and Class Crustacea;
the harmfulness to human caused by arthropods and
the manner by which arthropods transmit diseases; the
development and metamorphism of medical arthropod.
(2)
The morphology of the egg, larva and adult developmental forms of
mosquitoes; the life cycle and the main condition
required during mosquitoes development; ecological
aspects of mosquitoes; the main differentiated features
of three mosquito genera (Anopheles, Culex and Aedes
); the diseases transmitted by mosquitoes; important and
common species of mosquitoes in our country.
